Overall Objectives
- To support local businesses and business groups, to encourage them to share bestpractice, collaborate in business to business trade,and improve their effectiveness.
- To represent the interests of the network where relevant.
Supporting Local Business
Supporting local business groups and businesses through:
- Networking events
- High profile guest speakers
- Sharing best business practice for example e-Crime prevention, social networks, web site presence and relevant services
- Transnationalvisits
Representing the Interests of the Network
On a regular basis two members attend the “ Pembrokeshire the Haven Business Panel” which discusses topics related to the delivery of the Wales Spatial Plan as part of a feedback mechanism to the Welsh Assembly.
Recent topics have included the Economic Renewal Program, rates revaluation, the County Council report on Tourism, progress in Marine renewable energy.
One member attends the Pembrokeshire Advance forum, established by the County Council to co-ordinate the process of selecting projects which will seek funding under the Rural Development Plan and associated EC funding sources.
On an ad hoc basis PBN has a presence in contributing to “Government” consultations such as the National Parks Authority Local Development Plan, the County Council LDP, the Visit Wales destination marketing consultation etc..
